I recently ran across this story while researching local trades in Panama: "Having lived in Panama for a number of years, most of which were spent in the countryside, I had heard only rumors about the cigar rollers of La Pintada. La Pintada is a small-town located in the central province of Cocle. The town is about 20 minutes from the capital of Cocle, Penonome. We left Panama City in the early morning rain and reached Penonome at about 11:00am."

I would love to visit the factory if it is still there. Still have not found a decent local cigar that I can verify IS a local cigar.
