Panama, Jul 17 (Prensa Latina) Spanish Government President Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is visiting Panama Tuesday after concluding his three-day visit to Mexico, where he was received at the Senate and attended the Spanish-Mexican Enterprise Meeting. Zapatero, accompanied by businessmen interested in taking part in the profitable enlargement of the inter-oceanic canal that will demand many millions in investments, will be welcomed by Panamanian First Vice President and Foreign Minister Samuel Lewis today. He is expected to arrive this afternoon for an eight-hour visit in Panama, and accomplish a large program that will conclude with a reception offered by Panamanian President Martin Torrijos. Following the agenda, he will meet President Torrijos at Las Garzas Palace and visit the Canal later, where he will operate the locks. Spain is the Central American Country"s first European supplier and, at 12,000 euros, became fifth in the world last year. The presence of government ministers and Spanish businessmen will guarantee talks on the possible increase of the Iberian nation"s business in this country.
